| The assorted figurines and figural whistles in this group of twelve (Here’s another group of twelve Pre-Columbian ceramics (RDM 47, 48, 75-78, 90, 99, 120 -123) are all from the Barney Mallonee collection. Individually photographed and priced, most of the pieces appear to be Ecuadorian in origin from the Guangala, La Tolita, Chorrera and Bahia horizons. Included are male and female images in various stances, along with a seated image of a monkey. Some of the whistles do not work due to muddy interiors. The condition of the figures runs the range from 4 to 8 on a 1-10 system (ten the best), and prices from a low of $65 to a high of $1500 on an exceptional Guangala figurine of a mother holding a small child in her hands. None of the pieces have been repaired. Each photo lists first the item inventory number in brackets, a brief description of the item followed by a numerical grade of 1-10, size, approximate date range, condition, and finally the price. A purchase comes with a small display card, a biographical sketch about Barney Mallonee, and our certificate guaranteeing authenticity.
