| If you’re hunting for a collectible with history and character, this well-aged Colonial Period wood keru (LFG493), measuring 8 ½” in length from handle tip to handle tip, may just be the one! From the collection of published research anthropologist Lorenzo Gordon Fritz, a former southwestern primitive arts dealer who, for the past twelve years, has been living with and assisting several of the indigent tribes in the remote highlands of Bolivia, this native drinking vessel is characterized by its fine patina, zoomorphic handles, and distinctive shrinkage cracks. Dating c.1800-1825AD, the keru comes with a small display card, a map of Bolivia, a biographical sketch about the humanitarian Fritz, and our certificate guaranteeing authenticity.
