TWELVE OLD TUPOS & CRUCIFIXES, BOLIVIA-MEXICO
The twelve individually priced antique and colonial items (LFG 425, 439, 444, 450, 451, 454, 455, 459, 461, 466 and 467) in this interesting group are from the collection of an anthropologist and former primitive arts dealer. Included are assorted tupos (shawl pins) and crucifixes, all from Bolivia unless otherwise indicated. Each of the photographs is annotated first with our inventory number in brackets that is followed by a brief description of the item. Next will be a note about provenance and/or age, and then a comment about condition and perhaps a historical reference. The price is shown last. Select or ask any question by referring first to the Trocadero ‘Item’ number at the top of this page, and then to the Inventory Number in brackets shown on the given photograph. Each item comes with a small display card along with a biographical sketch about this fascinating, adventurous and humanitarian gent. NOTE: if you would like to view a large number of our various listings, and at the same time limit your browsing, try our ‘TWELVE different items on a single page format’ by simply spelling out the word TWELVE in the search box. That will quickly bring up all of our listings that have twelve different items on a page, each individually priced! And if you want to further refine the group, add one or two additional modifiers at the same time such as ‘Indian, Precolumbian, Stone, Pot, Gold, etc.’ Any item that has been sold will be so noted on its photograph.
