Fine Tarascan Burnished Redware Pipe
This fine burnished redware Pre-Columbian pipe (LLL1148) was found in West Mexico by the late Lynn Langdon in the mid-20th century. Measuring 6 ¾” in length, and glued together in two places, with good restoration of the cracks, the pipe is a classic example of the Tarascan style dating c.1200-1500AD. Perched on two short front legs, with the third ‘leg’ being the pipe stem end, this attractive relic comes with a small display card, a map of West Mexico highlighting the area in which the pipe was found, a biographical sketch of Langdon, and finally, our certificate guaranteeing authenticity. NOTE: if you would like to view a large number of our various listings, and at the same time limit your browsing, try our ‘TWELVE different items on a single page format’ by simply spelling out the word TWELVE in the search box. That will quickly bring up all of our listings that have twelve different items on a page, each individually priced!
