| This interesting group of twelve Pre-Columbian shell artifacts (LLL731R1N1E; LLL731R2N2C & D; LLL731R4N1A; LLL732R2N1B; LLL767, 845C, 846B & O, 864A & G, and 871D) was assembled from finds made by the late Lynn Langdon in West Mexico in the mid-20th century. Included in the group are individual pieces and lots, each illustrated and priced on its own photo. Finger rings, pendants, zoomormorphic pendants, pectorals, beads, etc., are among the pictured items. Of particular note are the zoomorphic pendants, one representing a crocodile or alligator, the other what appears to be a snake. Prices range from $25 to $250. Each photo is annotated with first the inventory number of the pictured item or items, a brief description followed by the provenance and age, size and comments concerning condition follow, and finally the price. Note that the word 'powder' indicates the presence of a more or less powdery surface that develops on long buried shell artifacts. By dipping the artifact into a dilute solution of Elmer's glue and water, the powdery surface is eliminated once the shell has dried.
