| The late Lynn Langdon found all of the individually priced Pre-Columbian copper artifacts and lots in this group (LLL917D; 974C, E, H, K, L, M, N, Q and U; 985H and 1210) in West Mexico in the mid-20th century. All of the items are attributed to the Tarascan group, dating c.1000-1500AD. Included are copper pins, bells, rings, and tweezers with each item or lot illustrated and priced on its own photo. Of particular note is a copper bell with the face of Tlaloc, the god of rain and thunder. Prices range from $25 to $450. Each photo is annotated with first the inventory number of the pictured item or items, a brief description followed by the provenance and age, a note about size, comments concerning condition, and finally the price. Select or ask any question by referring first to the Trocadero Item Number on this page, and then to our Inventory Number shown on the given photograph. Each piece comes with a descriptive card, a map of the area in which it was found, a biographical sketch about Langdon and his collection, and our certificate guaranteeing authenticity. NOTE: if you would like to view a large number of our various listings, and at the same time limit your browsing time, try our ‘TWELVE different items on a single page format’ by simply spelling out the word TWELVE in the search box. That will quickly bring up all of our listings that have twelve different items on a page, each individually priced! Any item that has been sold will be so noted on its photograph. | |||||||||||||||
