SMALL HOPI BOWL WITH MIGRATION THEME, NAMPEYO
This 3 ¼” polychrome bowl (TEH167) is marked on the base ‘Daisy Hooee Nampeyo’, the famous earlier 20th century Hopi artist who is known for the development of the ‘migration’ scene, as depicted on this small piece. The bowl is In overall very good condition with a small rim chip, and heavy fire clouding. From the Chester Howard collection, the figure comes with a small display card, a biographical sketch about the late owner who founded the Colorado Mineral Society in the earlier 20th century, a map of Arizona highlighting the Hopi area, and our certificate guaranteeing authenticity. You can see many more items from this old and diverse collection by typing the three letters TEH into the search box on any of the catalog pages. NOTE: if you would like to view a large number of our various other listings, and at the same time limit your browsing time, try our ‘TWELVE different items on a single page format’ by simply spelling out the word TWELVE in the search box. That will quickly bring up all of our listings that have twelve different items on a page, each individually priced and available! Any item that has been sold will be so noted on its photograph.
