HOPI BI-CHROME BOWL, LATER 20TH CENTURY
This 5 ¼” wide Native American bichrome bowl (TEH122) dates into the 1970s. In overall good condition with some paint loss, it is marked in pencil on the base ‘MGG’, in black ink with ‘Hopi, Arizona’, and additionally, by its last owner in red pen, ‘Jeanie & Tom Howard’. From the Chester Howard collection, the bwl comes with a small display card, a biographical sketch about the late owner who founded the Colorado Mineral Society in the earlier 20th century, and a map of Arizona pinpointing the Hopi Reservation. You can see many more items from this old and diverse collection by typing the three letters TEH into the search box on any of the catalog pages. NOTE: if you would like to view a large number of our various other listings, and at the same time limit your browsing time, try our ‘TWELVE different items on a single page format’ by simply spelling out the word TWELVE in the search box. That will quickly bring up all of our listings that have twelve different items on a page, each individually priced and available! Any item that has been sold will be so noted on its photograph.
