| Collected in 1961 by the late Chester Howard, founder of the Colorado Mineral Society in the 1930s, this 8” x 12” frame (TEH13) contains three strands of shell, truquoise, lapis, glass and coral beads, along with a 2” long silver arrowhead-shaped pendant that holds a coral cabochon. The contents of the frame are in overall very good condition, and in spite of the silver point being bent and the tip rolled back about ¼” under the body of the pendant, the silver does not appear to be cracked or otherwise damaged. I’m guessing these beads date back into the first half of the 20th century, but not able to confirm. The larger strand of beads measures about 18” in length and the silver pendant is 1 ¾” long, not counting the rolled tip. You can see many more items from this old and diverse collection by typing the three letters TEH into the search box on any of our catalog pages. The frame comes with a biographical sketch about Howard and his large collection, a bit more information about the beads, and our certificate guaranteeing authenticity. NOTE: if you would like to view a large number of our various other listings, and at the same time limit your browsing time, try our ‘TWELVE different items on a single page format’ by simply spelling out the word TWELVE in the search box. That will quickly bring up all of our listings that have twelve different items on a page, each individually priced and available! Any item that has been sold will be so noted on its photograph. | |||||||
