| The twelve Precolumbian shell artifacts in this group of twelve (LLL732R2N1B & D, R2N2B & H, 838L, 845, 846A & G, 864B, 920E, 922 and 1206F) were all found in the Nayarit area of West Mexico by the late Lynn Langdon in the mid-20th century. Included in this interesting and varied group are: ear decorations, a ring, figural pendants, pectorals, a bat’s head bracelet, atlatl finger grips, etc. As you’d expect, condition ranges from fairly good to excellent, and some of the shell has lightly to moderately decomposed leaving a powdery surface (this can be taken care of with either a light spray of fixative or Krylon, or a dip in a watered down solution of Elmer’s glue). Each photo is annotated with first our inventory number in brackets followed by a brief description. Next comes the age and provenance. An identified dimension in inches comes next followed by notes on condition, and then finally the price.
