| This 1” tall, ancient Egyptian faience amulet (BWO1) has been identified as the Aegis of Bastet. The aegis is the collarlike necklace on which the head of the cat, a benevolent and friendly image, acted as the eye of the moon. In excellent condition and perforated for wear, the amulet is dated to the 18TH Dynasty, c.1555-1350BC. It comes with a certificate guaranteeing authenticity.
