100 STRAND SILVER HEISHI NECKLACE WITH DROP
This striking, 100-strand, 22” liquid silver heishi necklace (BB183), made up of 2mm beads, supports a polished, teardrop-shaped turquoise cabochon noted by its former owner, the late Billy Branch of Denver, to be from the Pilot Mountain mine in Nevada. The turquoise is attractively set in a 3” long, handsomely decorated, four-part silver pendant in which the elements have been nestled together. The name E. Billy in script can be seen on the inside of the decorated bale through which the heishi strands are run (possibly for the Navajo silversmith, Emerson Billy from the Crownpoint area, whose hallmark first appeared in the early 1970s). This eye-catching beauty comes with a small display card, a biographical sketch about the late owner Billy Branch, and a certificate guaranteeing that the necklace is Native American in origin. We plan to soon have listed a total of some 150 items from the Billy Branch jewelry collection, so please check back often. NOTE: if you would like to view a large number of our various listings, and at the same time limit your browsing, try our ‘TWELVE different items on a single page format’ by simply spelling out the word TWELVE in the search box. That will quickly bring up all of our listings that have twelve different items on a page, each individually priced!
