| From the fine collection of the late Billy Branch, this middle-20th century pawn silver bracelet (BB80) has a huge, irregularly shaped, spider-webbed turquoise slab that was identified by the late owner as ‘Bisbee Cloud’ turquoise. In a shadow-box setting, centered on four bars with scattered bars of silver shot, and highlighted with feather appliques on either side, the bracelet is unsigned but believed to be of either Navajo or Zuni origin. The greatest dimension of the turquoise is 1 7/8”. The other critical dimensions are: front-to-back length across the turquoise at the top of the bracelet is 2 ¾”; inside diameter from side to side is 2 ¾”; the wrist opening is 1 5/8”; and the outside circumference from each side of the wrist opening is 7 1/16”. An impressive example of Native American silverwork, this would make a superb display piece in a Native American display, and though it could be worn, it must be entirely at the buyer’s risk. It comes with a small display card, a biographical sketch about the late owner, and a certificate guaranteeing that the bracelt is Native American in origin.
