Colima Nude Female Figurine
Well...almost nude! Wearing coiled headband, ear decorations and a neck collar, the impressive, 11” tall young female (RFM36) wears nothing else but a pout. The solid, hand modeled ceramic image is attributed to the Colima horizon of West Mexico dating c.300-100BC and comes from the collection of one of the founders of the Rocky Mountain Institute of Pre-Columbian Studies. In overall good condition, and an eye-catching display piece, the figure has lost its left ear ornament, has lost a bit of its head band and another small piece glued in place, has been glued at its neck, and has had its right leg glued and lightly restored at the break. This tall lady comes with a small display card, a map of Mexico highlighting the Colima area, and our certificate guaranteeing authenticity. Don’t forget to watch for the additional pieces that will soon be listed under the prefix RFM from this interesting and newly consigned collection. NOTE: if you would like to view a large number of our various listings, and at the same time limit your browsing, try our ‘TWELVE different items on a single page format’ by simply spelling out the word TWELVE in the search box. That will quickly bring up all of our listings that have twelve different items on a page, each individually priced!
