TWELVE OLD SPURS FROM CHESTER HOWARD ESTATE

This group of seven old iron spurs (TEH.F81.3-9) was removed from a frame assembled by the late Chester Howard. Little information was available with the group, but a little research with the gent who wrote the book on spurs identifies them as being of Mexican origin with all but one dating into the period 1890-1940 (TEH.F81.9 was assigned a 19th century age). All rusted to a more or less degree, and some with inlays of brass and/or silver, the spurs are in overall fairly good to good relic condition. Any one would make an inexpensive decorator with a western touch. Each photo shows our inventory number in brackets in the lower right corner along with an estimated age and the price. Additional notes will be found on some of photos. Select or ask any question by first referring to the Trocadero Number on this page, and then the inventory number shown on the given photograph. Any that have been sold will be so-marked on the appropriate photo. Each spur comes with a small display card and a biographical sketch about Howard. NOTE: if you would like to view a large number of our various listings, and at the same time limit your browsing time, try our ‘TWELVE different items on a single page format’ by simply spelling out the word TWELVE in the search box. That will quickly bring up all of our listings that have twelve different items on a page, each individually priced and available! Any item that has been sold will be so noted on its photograph.
