TWELVE 19TH CENTURY CHINESE TRADE PORCELAINS
This group of twelve individually priced, colorfully painted and very decorative, 19th century porcelain jars (FP Series 1262, 1263, 1265-1268, 1271, 1272, 1278, 1280, 1368 and 1369) were all purchased in Hong Kong in the early 1980s by Fenton Parke of Casper, Wyoming. From a once much larger and varied collection, each of the pieces comes with a certificate from a Honk Kong art appraiser stating that it dates to into the T’ung Chih period of the Ching Dynasty, c.1862-1864. Most are in excellent condition with some having minor dings. The lids of each appear to have gotten mixed around as some fit better than others. Most of the handled lids have been dinged, but none seriously. The photos show lids that may or may not come with the jar illustrated, but every effort will be made to assure that the jar comes with the best fitting lid available. Each photo shows first the inventory number in brackets followed by the type of piece. Next is a brief description of the painted scene. Height is next, followed by a general comment as to condition. Next are a few descriptive notes about condition, and finally the price. Select or ask any question by referring first to the Trocadero Item Number on this page, and then to our Inventory Number shown on the given photograph. Each piece purchased from this page comes with a small display card, a biographical write-up about Fenton Parke, and our certificate guaranteeing authenticity. NOTE: if you would like to view a large number of our various listings, and at the same time limit your browsing time, try our ‘TWELVE different items on a single page format’ by simply spelling out the word TWELVE in the search box. That will quickly bring up all of our listings that have twelve different items on a page, each individually priced and available! Any item that has been sold will be so noted on its photograph.
