| Measuring 21 ½” x 3 ½”, this attractive mid-20th century beaded strip (TEH.F9.1) with floral design was acquired by the late Chester Howard in Montana. Previously mounted in a decorative frame, Howard noted that the flexible strip, called a belt by Howard, was either Crow of Northern Cheyenne. In overall very good condition with only a half-dozen baby blue beads missing at the end of one row, and a few small patches of rusty stain, the paper sewn on the back of the strip has torn away in five or six areas to reveal an underlying cloth with floral design (which will not be visible when mounted with the beads facing the viewer). An attractive, decorative addition for a beadwork collection, it comes with a small display card, a biographical write-up about Howard, and a certificate guaranteeing authenticity. We’re pleased to announce that we’ll be adding many more items from this great and diverse collection including: Native American textiles, beadwork, pottery; Pre-Columbian pottery, artifacts, beads, figurines; some 2700+ merchant, Indian Trading, Military, Hacienda tokens; a great assortment of picturesque and decorative artifact frames that Howard had professionally constructed to house many of his treasures; and much more. NOTE: if you would like to view a large number of our various listings, and at the same time limit your browsing time, try our ‘TWELVE different items on a single page format’ by simply spelling out the word TWELVE in the search box. That will quickly bring up all of our listings that have twelve different items on a page, each individually priced and available!
