TWELVE PREHISTORIC INDIAN POTS, NEW MEXICO
This group of twelve individually priced prehistoric Indian pots (JHL35, 38, 39, 158, 159, 160, 162, 164, 168, 170, 178 and 185) are all from the estate of the late Gene Lang of Denver. Believed to be from the Williams Ranch collection, south of Quemado, New Mexico, Lang purchased the pots to restore them but was not able to complete the job. Most have been simply glued together with little restoration, and are usually missing a few shards. Each photo is noted first with the Inventory Number of the item in brackets, followed by a description of the style, the cultural group, approximate dates, one of the dimensions in inches, what percentage is missing, the major damage areas or sites, and finally the price. Select or ask any question by referring first to the Trocadero Item Number on this page, and then our Inventory Number shown on the given photograph. Any that have been sold will be so-marked on the appropriate photo. A purchase comes with a small display card, a biographical write-up about Gene Lang, a map of New Mexico highlighting the Williams Ranch area, and a certificate guaranteeing authenticity along with a release certificate stating that the pot is legal to own. NOTE: if you enjoy this ‘TWELVE different items on a single page format’, and would like to see all the different categories that we currently list in our catalog, spell out the word TWELVE in the search box and it will bring them all up. It’s a great way to save you browsing time!
