| This group of twelve includes ten photos illustrating Pre-Columbian copper artifacts found in west Mexico during the mid-20th century by the late Lynn Langdon, along with two photos illustrating rare, wearable Pre-Columbian silver rings from the Chimu horizon of Peru (104.7HD, LLL974B, LLL974G, LL974i, LLL974J, LLL974R, LLL974S, LLL974T, LLL974V, LLL985D, LLL985E, and XXHD). The copper artifacts are all attributed to the Tarascans and are dated c.1000-1500AD. Most have significant copper salt encrustation and condition ranges from poor to good. Included are rings, earrings, bells, and tools. Each photo is noted with first the Inventory number of the item in brackets, followed by a brief description, and finally the price. A millimeter scale appears in most of the photos for size reference (size is given for those photos not including a scale). Select or ask any question by referring first to the Trocadero Number on this page, and then the Inventory Number shown on the given photograph. Any that have been sold will be so-marked on the appropriate photo. A purchase comes with a small display card, a biographical sketch about the collector Langdon when pertinent, a map of Mexico or Peru highlighting the general area in which the artifact was found, and a certificate guaranteeing authenticity. NOTE: if you enjoy this ‘TWELVE different items on a single page format’, and would like to see all the different categories that we currently list in our catalog, spell out the word TWELVE in the search box and it will bring them all up.
