TWELVE ANCIENT SEAL BEADS PRICED INDIVIDUALLY

The polished ‘gem’ stone beads [100.181(A, C, E, H, J, K, L, Q, S, T, AA)HD] in this colorful and fascinating group, put in an 11-photo lot for convenience but each offered individually, are known because of their shape as ‘donut’ seals. Attributed to the Sassanian Empire, c.300-600AD and found in the western regions of Afghanistan during the Russian occupation, each of the seals is uniquely incised with an image of man, beast, or revered symbol. Stone types in this group include agate, carnelian, chalcedony, and hematite. Prices range from $95-$125 each. Select by inventory number on the photograph. The millimeter (mm) shown on the photo is the greatest side to side dimension. Any that have been sold will be so-marked on the appropriate photo. A purchase comes with a small display card, a map of Afghanistan highlighting the general area in which the seals were found, and a certificate guaranteeing authenticity. Please refer to any seal of interest by first the Trocadero Number and then the Inventory Number shown on the photo for the seal. NOTE: if you enjoy this ‘TWELVE different items on a single page format’, and would like to see all the different categories that we currently list in our catalog, spell out the word TWELVE in the search box and it will bring them all up.
