LOT OF 23 COLUMBIA RIVER POINTS, OREGON

Collector Walter Glowacki purchased this lot of 23 Columbian River points (WG101) at an Indian show in Denver in 1981. Measuring from ½” to a little over 1” in length, the stone types include black obsidian, mahogany obsidian, translucent chalcedony, jasper, agate, and opaque chalcedony of various other colors. Condition varies from overall good (minor nicks and dings on 9 points) to excellent (on the balance). The point types all fall in the Desert Tradition category, dating c.1600-400BP. A good study collection of authentic points, the lot is presented in a 5” x 6” glass-fronted frame that comes with a map of the Northwest highlighting the Columbia River and a certificate guaranteeing authenticity.
