| Richard Wise, noted northeastern goldsmith and author of the recent SECRETS OF THE GEM TRADE, made this fine 14K gold custom ring (96.1107HD) centered with a late 19th to early 20th century bloodstone intaglio depicting either Victory (note the wings) or possibly Neptune (note the trident and what appears to be a couple of fish in his left hand). In new and unworn condition, the intaglio carving has been treated with a gold jeweler’s rouge to enhance the image on the polished dark green stone. The ring measures 8 on a jeweler’s sizing mandrel, and can be easily re-sized. A great look in a handsomely well-crafted ring, it comes in a ring box that can be used for either safe storage or packaging as a gift. | ||||||||
