The late Dr. Allen Heflin found all twelve pf the obsidian atlatl points illustrated on this page. Found in several different areas of Mexico, each of the points (AXH68.1, 8, 11, 13, 14, 17, 31, 33, AXH217.3, AXH217.23, AXH227.47, and AXH1805) can be purchased by itself. This 12” tall ‘smiling face’ figural whistle (TEH.F50.4) is attributed to the Veracruz horizon along the Gulf Coast area of Mexico dating into the Late Classic Period, c.550-950AD.
