The late Dr. Allen Heflin found all twelve pf the obsidian atlatl points illustrated on this page. This 12” tall ‘smiling face’ figural whistle (TEH.F50.4) is attributed to the Veracruz horizon along the Gulf Coast area of Mexico dating into the Late Classic Period, c.550-950AD.
