This group of Native American textiles, all from the estate of the late Billy Branch, has some very fine examples of the various styles. All of the illustrated single and double saddle blankets, pictorials and small to larger area rugs are ‘used’ but none shows significant wear, although some do have small spots and stains that are so noted. Navajo in origin (BB.N404, 407, 418, 423, 426, 429, 432, 435, 437, 443, 445 and 465), each one of the twelve is shown in its own photo group with its unique ...click for details

$125.00

This oddly shaped Pre-Columbian bird’s head pendant (LLL732R2N2B), made from a creamy-gray colored stone and with a crescent groove ground into its basal edge, may have held a metal or obsidian blade in the groove. Not a common style, and in overall very good condition, it measures 1 3/8” from tip to tip. Completely perforated for suspension at one end, there is an uncompleted hole at the other. Found in west Mexico in the mid-20th century by the late Lynn Langdon, this curious and rather rare t ...click for details

This group of twelve clay female figurines (LLL 745, 746, 750, 851, 940, 948, 961, 970 and 978) was assembled from finds made by the late Lynn Langdon in the states of Colima, Jalisco and Michoacan of West Mexico in the mid-20th century. All but the figure from Michoacan are dated to the Pre-Classic period, c.100BC-300AD. Conditions range from fairly good to very good. Each is priced individually and shows my subjective numerical grade based on not only condition, but also artistic quality. A p ...click for details

$39,750.00

This phenomenal depiction of the shaman undergoing empowerment is almost pure gold! Worn in Precolumbian Panama by a member of the Veraguas group, the 3 7/8” long pendant (100.80HD) was authenticated and tested as 23K gold by the Orenda laboratory in Santa Fe, New Mexico. It’s difficult to find the right words to describe an item of such beauty and power, but a similar, only slightly larger piece sold at Sotheby’s years ago for almost $80,000! This extraordinary example of the ancient gold worke ...click for details

This impressive polychrome figure (RFM43) is of the West Mexican Nayarit San Sebastian style dating 100BC-250AD. Representing a seated warrior holding a club in both hands, head turned to the right, wearing a bell-shaped and crested hat, a multi-stranded necklace, and what is probably meant to represent a protective vest, the 9 ¼” tall hollow figure is in overall very good condition without any noted repair or restoration, but has suffered moderate pigment loss.
