Possibly an ornament for a crown, headband, or some other article of clothing, this 5 ¾” long, decorated copper flexible strip (AK138) is attributed to the Chimu horizon of Peru, c.1000-1400AD. Heavily patinated and coated with mineral salts, but in overall fairly good condition, the top of the strip has spiral decorations and a movable concave disk or bead, some ½ of which has corroded away.
