$750.00

Mounted on a silver, three-bar bracelet frame, the large roped medallion with gorgeous, deep blue petti-point turquoise (BB81) has the scratched initials on its back ‘EY’ (possibly one of the Navajo Yazzie family?). In overall very good condition, with six of the stones chipped and/or cracked from wear (but none loose in their settings), this fine Native American made bracelet was noted to be ‘pawn’ by its previous owner, the late Billy Branch of Denver, and is believed to date into the middle o ...click for details

$2500.00

The zoomorphic handle (a dog head?) on this interesting prehistoric Indian pitcher (GL582) is original and intact. From the collection of the late Gene Lang of Denver, Colorado, he typed the piece as a Wingate Polychrome dating c.1125-1200AD from the Anasazi cultural group. Measuring 6 ½” in width, a rim ‘kill’ and some surface abrasion was restored by Lang. There is some light stress cracking on the bottom of the jar. Without specific provenance, but from the Four Corners area, this colorful pi ...click for details

$1500.00

This 7 5/8” tall, very flat figure (RFM45) is attributed to the Protoclassic Nayarit of West Mexico, c.100BC-250AD. A striking figure that has been poorly glued together, it still carries traces of red, white, and pinkish pigment. The corners of its head are slightly chipped, the right arm has been glued on, and the nose has suffered some slight damage. An excellent candidate for minor restoration to bring it back to its original grandeur, one this thin and fragile rarely survives as well. From ...click for details

Measuring 9 ¾” in width and 3 5/8” tall, this intact polychrome tripod grater bowl (LLL15) was found in west Mexico in the middle 20th century. There is little evidence of use in the sharp-edged incised grater area. The burnished surface paint is strong although obvious black negative resist décor has been mostly removed. This approximately 20mm long steatite cowroid (97.124HD), a scarab-like form in the general shape of a cowry shell but without the detail of the beetle on its upper part, is decorated on its base with the stylized image of a vulture, considered by the ancient Egyptians as being an excellent mother, and with its wide wingspan, seen as all-encompassing and providing a protective cover to its infants.
