The 8" x 12" frame (FP859) holds 34 relics found at the UPRR town of Percy, Wyoming (1868-1902). Located south of Hanna, this vanished UPRR town was named for Percy Brown, a young surveyor killed by marauding Indians as he worked along the roadbed to the west. This fine 1 5/16" tall, light gray glazed gray pipe (30.86CHJ), dating into the 1880s was found by Hank Johnson at the all-but-forgotten Union Pacific RR ghost town of Bridger Station, Wyoming. Located on the south side of the original UPRR tracks in the southwest part of the state, the town began as a section house in 1868, ended up with half dozen buildings or so, and lasted into the 1880s.
