The 8" x 12" frame (FP859) holds 34 relics found at the UPRR town of Percy, Wyoming (1868-1902). Located south of Hanna, this vanished UPRR town was named for Percy Brown, a young surveyor killed by marauding Indians as he worked along the roadbed to the west. This lot of four relics (FP925) was found at the oil boomtown of Salt Creek, Wyoming (1912-1923). Only faint remains of this once energized town can be found today. The streets teemed with tool-pushers, roughnecks, wildcatters, and corporate engineers as the great Salt Creek Anticline north of Casper was prospected and developed. This fine 1 5/16" tall, light gray glazed gray pipe (30.86CHJ), dating into the 1880s was found by Hank Johnson at the all-but-forgotten Union Pacific RR ghost town of Bridger Station, Wyoming. Located on the south side of the original UPRR tracks in the southwest part of the state, the town began as a section house in 1868, ended up with half dozen buildings or so, and lasted into the 1880s.
