This colorful group of hand made molas (AK140 thru AK151) came from blouses made and worn by the Kuna Indians of San Blas Islands off the coast of Panama. Probably all made in the late 20th century, not one is thought to date earlier than 1990. Each in very good cleaned but un-ironed condition, all have the typical somewhat rough and unfinished edges where visible layering can be easily determined. Great pieces for framing, each one is unique. Individually available and priced, each photo shows ...click for details

This striking, 100-strand, 22” liquid silver heishi necklace (BB183), made up of 2mm beads, supports a polished, teardrop-shaped turquoise cabochon noted by its former owner, the late Billy Branch of Denver, to be from the Pilot Mountain mine in Nevada. The turquoise is attractively set in a 3” long, handsomely decorated, four-part silver pendant in which the elements have been nestled together. The name E. Billy in script can be seen on the inside of the decorated bale through which the heishi ...click for details

This 12 5/8” long, 8 ½ pound cast bronze canon (TEH119) was purchased in Morelia, Mexico in 1960 by the late Chester Howard, adventurer, collector, and founder of the Colorado Mineral Society in 1936. Believed to date back into the early 19th century colonial period, the canon has no markings and except for its bent ball handle, is in excellent condition. Obviously too small to have been effective as a fearsome weapon, it was most likely used to issue a salute or a warning. The canon would make ...click for details
