THE HEIRS OF THE BILLY BRANCH COLLECTION ARE NOW INVITING OFFERS!!!
With the imminent distribution of proceeds from the sales of items in the Billy Branch estate, the heirs
are inviting offers. Though already heavily discounted, the family has asked that I note its willingness to
consider any offer for a listed item in the Branch collection: Pre-Columbian art pottery; unique Native American
pawn pieces; Chinese zoomorphic cloisonnee forms; and a variety of other special collectibles. Bill had a good
eye, and this opportunity to purchase a fine piece at your price is seldom seen. To see all items in the Branch
collection, simply type the letters 'BB' into the search link on any page and all of Bill's listings will come up.

Here’s an eye-catching assortment of Native American necklaces (TEH 174, 192, and 201 thru 210) from the estate of the late Chester Howard. As founder of the Colorado Mineral Society in the 1930s, one shouldn’t be surprised that Howard would identify at least a few of the turquoise varieties that make up the beads in these strands: Red Mountain, Ruffan Mine, McGinnis Big Blue, and Pilot Mountain. In addition to turquoise, the beads in the necklaces include: shell, pipestone, varieties of glass, ...click for details

This superb Native American made, relatively heavy silver cuff (BB87) with wonderfully matched, deeper blue turquoise oval and round stones and silver shot is, as you should now guess, from the estate of Denver’s late Billy Branch. Doubly stamped on its inner surface with the notation ‘sterling’ and commented to in Billy’s notes as being a ‘pawn’ piece, the bracelet (believed to be mid-20th century in age) is in excellent condition and most wearable with today’s popular styling. Each of the photos in this group of twelve individually illustrates and prices a different later-20th century Native American silver and turquoise ring (BB109-120). From the large and varied collection of pawn and other examples of southwestern styles assembled by the late Billy Branch of Denver, the rings in this group appear to have been purchased new at the time he acquired them. Two of the rings have touchmarks (Ben and MB) and the others are unsigned. Workmanship in all cases is very good, ...click for details

Mounted on a silver, three-bar bracelet frame, the large roped medallion with gorgeous, deep blue petti-point turquoise (BB81) has the scratched initials on its back ‘EY’ (possibly one of the Navajo Yazzie family?). In overall very good condition, with six of the stones chipped and/or cracked from wear (but none loose in their settings), this fine Native American made bracelet was noted to be ‘pawn’ by its previous owner, the late Billy Branch of Denver, and is believed to date into the middle o ...click for details

This 26” long, 11-strand, tubular coral bead, Native American made necklace (TEH14) has small sterling beads interspersed with the coral. The silver beads, approximately 3mm in diameter, are randomly placed so no pattern is developed with them. The coral is a magnificent vivid orange/red that makes a ‘statement’ that says LOOK AT ME! The back of the necklace is ‘Squaw wrapped’ with red thread. As coral is becoming rarer, this c.1960s-1970s necklace is not only very wearable but might also be ...click for details
