This style of ‘antenna handled’ ancient bronze sword (100.166BHD) is found in the lower Ganges Valley of India. Assigned to the Uttar Pradesh period, dating c.1800-1000BC, the 16” long sword is in overall very good condition with excellent patina, minor metal loss, and a small, leaf like area along one blade edge that has partially loosened but is still attached (care should be taken not to apply pressure to the area as it wouldn’t take too much to break off the piece).
