This translucent light blue glass amulet (102.10HD) was found in Lebanon and dates into the Roman Period, c.100BC-100AD. Measuring ¾” in length, the amulet is embossed in the center of its disk with an image that is impossible to assuredly identify (it appears to be a figure with arms stretched far out from its shoulders). This remarkably well-preserved set of ancient hollow high karat gold earrings (WJF413) came out of Afghanistan during the Russian occupation. In dented condition, they have been adapted for modern wear with gold studs. Measuring 1 1/8” across, and 1 ¾” from the bottom to the top of the original ear loop, the earrings are believed to date into the Pre-Islamic period sometime during the late first millennium BC to the middle first millennium AD. A little coarse and somewhat pitted, this ancient Egyptian bowl (102.70GHD) was long on display at the now closed Collector’s Memorial Museum in Farmington, New Mexico. Just a bit over 5 ½” in diameter, the bowl is in overall very good condition with only a 1 1/8” chipped area on the inside of the rim to detract from its simple, graceful form.
