THE HEIRS OF THE BILLY BRANCH COLLECTION ARE NOW INVITING OFFERS!!!

With the imminent distribution of proceeds from the sales of items in the Billy Branch estate, the heirs
are inviting offers. Though already heavily discounted, the family has asked that I note its willingness to
consider any offer for a listed item in the Branch collection: Pre-Columbian art pottery; unique Native American
pawn pieces; Chinese zoomorphic cloisonnee forms; and a variety of other special collectibles. Bill had a good
eye, and this opportunity to purchase a fine piece at your price is seldom seen. To see all items in the Branch
collection, simply type the letters 'BB' into the search link on any page and all of Bill's listings will come up.

AND ANOTHER! Type the single word OFFER into the search box for additional great buy opportunities!

This 12” x 15” glass-fronted frame contains authentic 64 ‘bird points’ that Heflin found in the northeast Mexican states of Coahuila and Nuevo Leon in the mid-20th century. $600.00

This semi-polished, mottled light gray and green stone bird pendant (PBF211) was found in the shaft tomb region of southern Colombia close to the border of Ecuador and is attributed to the Narino Capuli period, c.900-1400AD. Measuring 1 7/8” in length from the tip of its toucan-like beak to the tip of its rounded tail, it could easily be mistaken as jade, but with a measured specific gravity of 2.78, it is too light to be so identified. Generically still relatable to the metamorphic environment, ...click for details

This stone animal head (LLL785), apparently fashioned to represent a tapir, was once at the back or poll end of a fine effigy axe. Broken across the shallow hafting groove that encircled the axe, the head has no other significant damage and by itself is a good example of the skilled Pre-Columbian stone-worker’s art. Measuring 2 ¾” in length, and 1 5/8” in height at the head, the axe is attributed to the Colima horizon of west Mexico dating c.300BC-200AD. Made from grayish green volcanic rock, th ...click for details

The three larger obsidian blades shown in this group (MAP155, 156 and 157) were all found in West Mexico in the mid-20th century by the late Lynn Langdon. Previously sold to another collector, they have now come back to HD Enterprises as the present owner sells off his collection. These are some of the nicer blades from Lynn’s old collection, and one of them presents somewhat of a mystery. It has the shape of the Great Basin’s paleo Cougar Mountain blade, as well as the ground stem. Sent to note ...click for details
