Designed to stand on its bell-shaped, footed base, this impressive 10” tall, heavily root-marked ceramic censer (LLL485) is covered with stubby nubbins. Attributed to the Colima horizon dating c.300BC-200AD, it was found in west Mexico in the mid-20th century by the late Lynn Langdon. Glued together along a relatively clean single break, this 6 ¾” wide black-and-red on white Casas Grandes bowl (TEH.123), from Chihuahua in northern Mexico, reaches out to the viewer with its bold and colorful geometric design. This 7 ½” tall, red and white painted olla (LLL710), decorated with geometric quadrant design, was found in West Mexico in the mid-20th century by the late Lynn Langdon. Attributed to the Nayarit horizon, c.300BC-200AD, the jar has a 1 1/8” wide hole in its lower half that appears to have been caused by a shovel but doesn’t seriously affect its structural integrity. Found in west Mexico in the mid-20th century by the late Lynn Langdon, this two ‘dogs for the price of one’ terracotta censer (LLL425) is attributed to the Pre-Classic Colima horizon dating c.300BC-200AD.
