Either used to hold tools of various sorts, or perhaps coca leaves, this large dark but vari-colored bag (100.255ARHD) is attributed to the Nazca horizon of Peru, c.100-800AD. In only fair condition with significant stain and a fair amount of fabric material loss and pulling, the approximately 12” x 15” bag (counting the fringe) is still a displayable type piece for style, color, and pattern. This 22” necklace (PBF201) is made up of assorted Pre-Columbian ceramic, shell, greenstone and gold beads, all found in the Narino area of Colombia during the mid-20th century and dating into the Capuli Period, c.900-1400AD.
