$1200.00

According to the previous owner, this 2 5/8” tall anthropomorphic axe god pendant (101.32HD) was characterized as displaying Olmecoid influence by the late nationally known Robert Stroessner, ex museum curator of the New World Department at the Denver Art Museum. In excellent condition, the marvelous greenstone piece tests out within the refractive index range of jadeite. With subdued polish and evidence of burial through a minor amount of non-distracting surface pitting, it was (and probably still can be) worn as a pendant by suspending it from the two bow-drilled holes appearing on i ...click for details
