Each of the twelve individually priced prehistoric Indian artifacts in this group (AXH66.4, 5, 8, 10, 13, 21, 25, 26, 34, 36, 41, and 44) were once attached to a frame with Elmer’s glue that had been assembled from finds in Louisiana made by the late Dr. Allen Heflin. Included in the group are what I believe to be the following point types: Boggy River Type II, Burkett, Evans, Gary, Marcos, Midland, and Savannah River. Heflin marked all of the points on one side in black ink with the provenance, ...click for details

$1800.00 (Will Consider Offer)

Here's the last of the five points we have on consignment from the Rhonda Beck collection (RXB16). Although an attached tag has the notation "Cobb's" (and the inked words "Pope Co ILL" on the side of the blade itself), I believe this is an un-notched pre-form of the Tennessee River type due to the absence of the Cobb's characteristically beveled edges. The Tennessee River is an Early Archaic point dating c.7000-4000BC. Measuring 7" in length and, again, a Bec ...click for details

Most of the pieces in this assorted group of artifacts (LFG 236, 483-490, and 1023-1026) were found by Lorenzo Gordon Fritz (1024 and 1026 are from old Kansas/Missouri collections), research anthropologist and former Southwestern Primitive Arts dealer, in the following areas: the Hillsboro and Leon River areas of Texas; Pima County, Arizona; and Dona Ana County, New Mexico. Mostly dating from the Paleo to the Late Archaic, the stone artifacts include atlatl points, knives, preforms, and a few dr ...click for details

$6,000.00 (Will Consider Offer)

The third great point (RXB.1) from the Rhonda Beck collection, this is a 4 1/2" long x 1 1/8" wide Agate Basin point in top condition. Dating into the Transitional Paleo to the Early Archaic Period, c.10,500-8000 B.P., it comes without specific provenance, but the stone type has been identified as High Ridge Burlington Chert by well known authenticator Calvin Howard. A stunning example of early man's stone knapping ability, it is presented in a Riker-style frame and comes with Howa ...click for details

$8000.00 (Will Consider Offer)

After looking at this brown chert beauty (RXB.9), you may have already guessed that it indeed is another from the Rhonda Beck collection! Typed as a Dalton-Hemphill dating into the Early Archaic period, c.8000-7200BC, it measures 5 5/8" in length and is virtually flawless with an old, lightly inked notation on one side that reads "Hardin Co, ILL". Our fourth listed point from that collection (with one more to go), it comes with a certificate of authenticity by Calvin Howard, well ...click for details

This dynamite blade (RXB.4) is from the Rhonda Beck collection. The banded rock has been identified as Harrison County chert, a stone type used in Adena blade production in the Ohio Valley area in the northeastern quadrant of the U.S. Dating c.4000-2500 B.P., and measuring 6 1/2" in length and 1 15/16" at its maximum width, the gracefully shaped knife is intact with virtually no damage....as close to a 10 as one would hope to find.
