This 7” tall solid figurine depicting a seated whistler (BB18) is attributed to the Nayarit horizon of west Mexico dating c.300BC-300AD. With heavy paint loss, and moderately heavy restoration, the whimsical figure still displays well. From the Billy Branch collection of Denver, the whistler comes with a small display card, a map of Mexico on which the Nayarit area has been highlighted, and a certificate guaranteeing authenticity.
