Circular in form with a scalloped edge, this ¾” wide, incised steatite dot seal pendant (97.287HD) is attributed to the Bactrian Empire of northern Afghanistan dating into the 2nd Millennium BC. This disk shaped, embossed, bluish green faience amulet (96.1047HD) has the image of Bes on one side and the Eye of Horus on the other. Measuring ¾” in diameter and 1/8” in thickness, the molded amulet, in overall very good condition and wearable, has a small dark casting flaw on its edge. The amulet dates into the Graeco-Roman Period, c.332BC-395AD. It comes with a small display card and a guarantee of authenticity.
