Here's the last of the five points we have on consignment from the Rhonda Beck collection (RXB16). Although an attached tag has the notation "Cobb's" (and the inked words "Pope Co ILL" on the side of the blade itself), I believe this is an un-notched pre-form of the Tennessee River type due to the absence of the Cobb's characteristically beveled edges. Circular in form with a scalloped edge, this ¾” wide, incised steatite dot seal pendant (97.287HD) is attributed to the Bactrian Empire of northern Afghanistan dating into the 2nd Millennium BC.
