This translucent green glass amulet (102.6HD) was found in Lebanon and dates into the Roman Period, c.100BC-100AD. 7/8” in length, the amulet is embossed in the center of its disk with what appears to be either the torso of a person or god (although it’s impossible to be sure). $1,500.00
This highly burnished red ware melon jar (CLP 1) is one of my favorite items from Claudia Proto's collection of West Mexican Pre-Columbian art. 8" wide and 6 1/4" tall, it simply bubbles with fun and style in spite of the its obviously damaged condition ( in our opinion, it still deserves a quality rank of '7', with 10 being the tops). Assigned to the Colima horizon dating c,100-300AD, it suffers a bruised nose and a rim that is missing a couple of chunks with some glue to hold another in place...
